    Stop Littering
    by Stacey Flynn - Friday, 20 April 2018, 1:15 PM

    Dear Aberdeen

    This is what we found on the lower field in just ONE recess!! This makes us so very sad!
    The animals need our help. Please help us in our act of service to the community and to the environment
    * Litter goes in the garbage,
    * Recycle what you can
    * Help remind each other
    * If it’s on the ground, it’s in our water

    Please do the right thing. Spread the word… NOT THE GARBAGE!

    Sincerely, Division 10

    Dear Parents and families,

    Recently we have sited several ticks at school.  We know that city-wide, ticks have been reported in the news as being abundant this year.  Please talk with your kids about reducing their risk and what to do if a tick is found on them.

    Placement Requests for September
    by Stacey Flynn - Tuesday, 17 April 2018, 8:07 AM

    We value your input and although we may not be able to meet everyone’s request we will certainly take your concerns and requests seriously when we assign children to their new classes. I do not know which teachers will be assigned to the specific classes. Our staff will meet and go through a process that considers the following factors. This list is not in priority order:
            The learning style of the student
            The child’s physical and social maturity
            The child’s intellectual development
            The age of the student
            Behaviour issues and class dynamics
            The placement which will afford the child the greatest chance of success
            Parental requests
            The best interest of the school
    Although the school will not consider requests for a specific teacher, we invite parents to provide us with information relating to your child. Please describe for us what you feel would be the best learning situation for your child. Please deliver this information to the office by May 25th .

    Have a wonderful Spring and enjoy the warmer weather.
