Gratitude Day was started by a young boy in Chase named Jorye Yeung. Jorye was an inspiration to all who knew him. Sadly, Jorye passed away on May 24th, 2008 after his second battle with Cancer. Although he was only 10 years old, he was wise beyond his years and lived his life with passion and purpose. In his short life, he managed to make a difference in his community and touched so many lives. He is an inspiration and he has helped to remind us to be grateful...every day.
We have declared the Month of May “Gratitude Month” at Aberdeen. We will be greeting students on the announcements each morning with messages of Gratitude as well as planning some upcoming events, which we will be holding throughout the month. See the Gratitude Challenge Calendar below.
