Family Literacy Week is January 24th to 31st.
Aberdeen Library is celebrating Family Literacy Week with the following events and activities:
1. Heap the Honda Challenge
Students bring in new or "gently" used children's books to donate.  Books can be dropped off at the library Monday, Jan 19 to Friday, Jan. 23.  Books will be distributed to social service agencies throughout the city
2. Aberdeen Book Swap
Students who donated to the Heap the Honda Challenge take books home.  Swap will take place from Monday, Jan. 26Th to Thursday, Jan. 29th.
3. Unplug and Play Challenge
The Unplug and Play Challenge is a community event which encourages families to disconnect from their electronic devices and spend more time playing and interacting together.
Tracking booklets go home Friday, January 23.  Students will fill out their tracking booklets AT HOME WITH THEIR FAMILY.
Students return their completed booklets to their classroom teachers.  To be eligible for prizes the completed booklets must be returned to school by Friday, Feb. 6th.
Teachers select 1 winner from their class.  Teachers hand out the prizes. (*Ms. Carter will provide the prizes)
